About NETOL:

The cleaner, which not only cleaned metals, was created by the entrepreneurs Fresneda and Lorán, who established themselves at the beginning of the last century at number 17 Ronda de Sant Pere, in Barcelona. From their establishment they supplied all the drugstores and grocery stores (the supermarkets of the time) with their cleaning product that cleaned metals and left them brighter than the sun.

The image of the product was a butler with a face somewhat deformed by his big and good-natured smile, his red hair, a bow tie and a striped vest. A real butler (precursor of the one from the cotton test) whose far from Apollonian figure immediately caught the eye of the housewives of the time. In addition to the press, his figure could be seen in numerous public places: street thermometers, trams and on billboards. Sometimes he was seen in grocery stores in life-size, so the iconic butler looked at the customers as an equal.

Today, neither the brand nor that expressive butler nor the product exist. It has been outlived by its eternal competitor, Sidol metal cleaner.
